About Coffee Nerdery
Coffee Nerdery has been free, unbiased, and commercially independent for nearly two years. We've maintained and improved the platform, managed listings for roasters who didn't have the time, and built Shopify sites for some of them (as a paid service) and never once let any of that influence who appears in the Discovery quiz or how they rank.
When we launched the Discovery quiz, the most common question wasn't "how does it work", it was "what's the catch." Understandable since it is often the case that “if you're not paying for the product, you are the product”. Our answer was straightforward: we don't have a monetisation plan yet, but when we do, we'll tell you exactly what it is.

What kind of coffee can I find on Coffee Nerdery?
We're taking a "quality over quantity" approach and only want to work with reputable roasters. Hence, we only list a hand-picked selection of roasters across the United Kingdom.
I have a subscription with my favourite roaster. Why would I use Coffee Nerdery?
We don't see Coffee Nerdery replacing your subscription. Instead, we see it as something you'd use alongside your subscription when you're feeling adventurous and want to discover a new roaster or a new coffee.
How will you help me find coffee I will love?
We use a combination of user reviews, ratings, and our own product recommendation engine to help you discover coffee you'll love.
Will I be buying the coffee from you or the roaster
You will be buying the coffee from the roaster. We are a discovery and recommendation platform and don't currently plan to sell coffee ourselves.
If I don't pay for the 'product', does it mean I am the 'product'? How are you earning your money?
Great question. Coffee Nerdery is free for the users and for the roasters. We offer it for free because we believe it is a great way to raise awareness of our company and gives us the opportunity to sell other services we offer to roasters (such as marketing and e-commerce services).
Can I suggest a roaster or a coffee?
Of course, you can submit roaster and coffee suggestions through the Contact Us page.
